For some reason I never liked cabbage. These plants though are cool and it's good to know that they are not real cabbage. Makes me feel better somehow. Now I can go and get some and don't have to worry about having to eat them :) They're just cabbage for the eye.

Hats with ears from H&M. Good way to hide your own big ears and only have little fluffy round ones on your hat. Not that fluffy ears is something most people want.

Welcome to Hungary!

It's lomtalanítás in the 7th district in Budapest. This means "get rid of all the trash you have collected for fifty years" day. Amazing there's still so much thrown out on these days that happen every year since I don't know when. My treasure today was the white lamps. Seems like the people from the countryside who come here to collect stuff to sell didn't think they were of any value. So now I have three lamps that I don't know what to do with but they sure look great!

It's been a while since I've posted anything so I thought I will make it up for you by posting the best outfit I've seen lately. Looking back I wish I had spent the money on it, now who knows if I will ever have the chance to get anything like it. Maybe at the next Fashion week they have picked up this camouflage style.

My sister loves these dolls so this will be a great gift  for her birthday. She already approved so it's ok that i write it here :)
Honestly we don't always do this approval thing. I realize now that it sounds weird. 
For example this year nothing was sent to me for approval for my birthday

Cheap face lift!

Finally a drink that makes your skin look younger and it tastes like candy!
Never heard of drinks with collagen before but after drinking this one I started searching and found that the cosmetic company Shiseido  launched a special anti ageing drink with collagen. They taste like fish though and cost more than the 130Ft (0,5 euro) I spent on this Pokka drink. I'll stick to this one. Both the price and the taste suits me better.
The picture above is before I finished the whole bottle and I'm quite sure I looked the same after finishing it. 

Friday (s)wine

My friend had a friend visiting and I had no plans and it was not so hard to convince me to go with them to the wine festival up in the Buda castle. It was packed, no real good styles to bother taking pictures of unfortunately. But at least there was alcohol.  Sometimes that's all that counts.

Mad Style or Bad Style Communist vintage dress

Don't you just love those old communist dresses? I do. It's amazing you can still find them well at least you can in Budapest probably because most Hungarians don't find them amazing. This specific one is from one of the crappiest shops around, the worst looking shops have the best stuff. You just have to really be patient and you will find some gems.

Haven't had a Mad Style or Bad Style for a while so what do you think.

Sloth and goat fur

Sloths are cool, relaxed and cute and they have soft fur! I want to be a sloth or have one, or go to the zoo and visit one. Maybe I can adopt this one.

Goats are cute but all that chewing is not good for my wardrobe.

International Friday

Last Friday I had Vietnamese food at the Chinese market in Budapest. Didn't have time to look around this time so couldn't buy any fun stuff except one thing from the food market I thought was some kind of a muffin but is probably a meat pie with old egg yolk and ham or who knows what. Not what I wanted but it looks nice and is still unopened mostly because I'm afraid to see what's inside. Unfortunately it expires 2011.09.08...

After all the Asian I went to watch football with Karin. Hungary-Sweden. Who to support??? Sitting there it turned out I was supporting Sweden. It's not like I put on the blue top and Swedish flags because I already knew. Looking back it's sort of nice that Hungary won as for me it shouldn't really matter anyway. Note that my nice vintage scarf has red and green in it.

SZOBART opening

Last night I went to an opening of  Szobart a temporary art and culture project.There will be new exhibitions with Germans and Hungarians every week und viel spass for sure. You should check it out!

Got this skirt last year at Humana. Which has some of the best second hand shops in Budapest.  It was too big an long so I changed it a bit and now I really like it. My wardrobe still contains some vintage clothes that needs some changes before I wear them so that will be one of my projects. Before and after pictures to come!
