Caught up in the cables

On Friday I went to Flatlab's event The Newborns. Flatlab is a flat studio at Baross utca. It started with six designers and now two more have moved in.

These cables from Tilka which you can buy in the showroom was what got my attention for some reason.  The truth is I was very tired and the colours gave me a kick. I got caught up in the cables, so to say. I like them though. Choose them in your favourite colour and you will want more and more electric stuff just to get more nice cables. Hmm, already thinking of what to get.

I recommend you to go and visit Flatlab. If you're not wild about cables you can check out clothes, hats and graphic design, I will definitely make my way back soon to see all that in a more awake state.

I'm going in!

Men always ask why women always go together to the bathroom. The true answer is to get rid of them for a while, but also that it's for some reason a good place to take pictures. The pictures are in general not good though.

No more pictures please I have to go!

Back in touch

Nicole getting back in touch with the container. She said it has been cold and hard lately. I told her not to worry, usually they are like that.

Absolootely

Since it's May 1st which is workers day in most European countries. I love to celebrate my work with a day off, they don't come often enough though. Work should be fun and if it's not a little nice hand made book to take notes in can always cheer you up a little bit. These are from the Hungarian brand Absoloot.
If a a nice book isn't enough it can be used mixed with some stronger company  to get that cheering up effect but the effect on work can't be guaranteed.

Dots and duvet

Mario came with me to the Marni event last night. He has a great collection of vintage clothes, I would like to come back to another time.
Dots and patterns
More stuff
Funny thing is I bought this duvet cover a couple of days ago at IKEA. Reminds me of the fabric used in the Marni collection so now I can pretend wearing it while sleeping or just wear it as a maxi dress.

Naked Knuckle

A pair of Naked Knuckle fingerless gloves from Jane Hruska would fit well in my non- existent spring wardrobe 2012.

Ice for all tastes

Louis Vuitton ice cream looks expensive and clean. Also I like that they put the cherry on the side because this shows they understand that not everybody likes cherry, like me for example and my friend's boyfriend apparently.

This is the flea market ice. It's big, it has no cherries on top and it's free. Which one do you like better?

Dream gym wear

Givenchy Spring 2012 Couture by Riccardo Tisci. A taste of dark glamour, the nose rings makes them look a bit like Hannibal but somehow I like it. Possibly an old fear of a gym teacher inspired? Love it and wish I could have been dressed like that in gym class.
This is my favourite of the 10 dresses

Chanel SS 2012 vs Styleomad 2011

I was very surprised when I saw some of the pictures from Chanel's SS 2012 campaign as I did a similar shoot last summer

See the similarity? One thing that makes my pictures a little more exciting at least the last one, is the flasher on the bench in the second picture. (If you're in to that kind of stuff)   It's not a joke...

A whole book with beautiful pictures and amazing clothes from the history of Dior.

Until the end

Marci
Looking chill and grunge at The Room party.
Check out his brand  Aarion clothing  in this link.

As you can see in the background there were for sure many  interesting styles around, too bad that I concentrated on butts instead.
 It was late.
The End

Marie Claire and the lonely parrot

Black by Dóra Mojzes

Big bag by Nanushka

Black, gray, brown and a big bag by Nubu

Pleather by Kata Szegedi

Brown by USE unused

Interesting shoe solution by Je Suis Belle
Black, gray and brown dominated the fashion show at Marie Claire's event last Friday. Pleather and big bags were also included in nearly all collections. I like all that, but felt there wasn't much diversity.
Dress/Monki. Feathers/Hobbyshop
It's time for me to realize most people don't have the desire to look like a parrot.

Jokka design

This weekend I helped my friend Zsóka to sell her knitwear at the Hungarian design market WAMP.
Zsóka designs and make clothes under her brand Jokka design. Below is a picture from her stripy summer collection. What's really cool about that collection is that the dresses can be worn in several ways. Check out her website for more pictures!

Matryoshka approved

Matryoshka necklaces from Mimoza design

My sister loves these dolls so this will be a great gift  for her birthday. She already approved so it's ok that i write it here :)
Honestly we don't always do this approval thing. I realize now that it sounds weird.
For example this year nothing was sent to me for approval for my birthday
It's on the 20th, you can start sending me pictures of things now.

Turning Japanese with Barnoff

Last night I went to a  dinner at Tamara Barnoff's place. She's a designer from Georgia who lives in Budapest check out her website in the link and you can see my custom made shoes :) I felt lucky meeting all these cute people from Japan, they were amazingly nice.  For some reason I ate sushi for lunch today.
