Timbuktu took the ship by storm

This weekend has been quite good even if I'm still recovering from all kinds of health issues. Nothing too serious, and in any case I assume it's better for all if I leave the details out. One thing that has been helping me recover was the concert  I went to on Friday at A38. Timbuktu was amazing live. Lots of dancing and shouting definitely the best concert for a very long time.

Timbuktu in action.

Someone else wanted to get some other action probably got disappointed when noticing the little package was missing.
This night gets 2 thumbs up and silly smiles from both me and Karin.

Getting married

Happy Midsummer!

I thought a nice vintage dress with daisies was suitable for my happy midsummer wish. The pictures cam out a bit mysterious, that's okay since it is a hedonistic tradition and it does have some elements of magic to it.
For example young girls pick seven different types of flowers and put under their pillow and dream about the boy they will marry. If you dream about the biggest dork you can't stand, you're kind of fucked. Or just try again and hope you dream about someone else and if you're lucky it's not, shit can't think of who would be the worst.
Please help me. Who would be the worst person to dream of on Midsummer's eve?

I come from Sweden

Back in Budapest again and already found some trash to hang out with.

Scratching the back of trash is a completely altruistic behaviour. Some people might say it's just meaningless, but we all come from different places. I come from Sweden.Literally.

100% Ecological Flag

Today is the Swedish National Day also called Swedish Flag's day. I decided to go against the tradition, mostly because I didn't have a flag, and hung up my new flowery dress from Indiska instead.

The fact it's a 100% ecological dress makes me feel I've done something good for the world, by shopping. If I had bought a eco freindly flag I can't imagine it would give the same effect, so why risk it?

Totally Bananas

I'm in Sweden visiting for a week. It's all quiet and as you probably expect, yes it's cold. That's why we used have banana parties (bananfest) *all the time when I was a kid. Where we would pull each other's hair, fight with swords, ride on very small bicycles in funny clothes, and all that. And eat massive amounts of bananas of course. Still haven't figured out how that helped against the cold, but it sure made us bananas.

*This is all made up (except me being in Sweden). I have never been to a banana party. If you have,  write me a comment and you can win 1 kilo of bananas.

Stylish and nice

My friend Jenny who I hadn't seen for years was in Budapest. She's always super stylish and she's nice too. Sometimes I don't know what's more important. I guess stylish beats nice in the long run.

Swedish shopping

I went shopping with three Swedish girls who like old clothes maybe even more than I do. This wonderful blue leather coat on the wall at Szputnyik would have been one of those things I couldn't have resisted. Such a shame it's not for sale I really wanted to go for the army smurf style.

Did get my New Year's butterfly sequins top there, similar to the one in the picture.
Upstairs at the shop called Vintage on Práter utca. Tons of nice dresses and piles of clothes makes you feel like in Wonderland.

Lovely lady who works there and satisfied Swedes
Nowadays I consider myself lucky when not finding anything I have to to buy. In this shop I was lucky. Not in the previous one though where I "had" to buy something. All these musts are killing me.

Santa and sheep

Dress/Monki, Jacket/H&M, Earrings/ My own

My dad asked if I was was trying to look like  a Christmas tree. I hadnt' decided what to wear and didn't have that much clothes with me. Somehow at Christmas I thought the tree reference would do better than the pajamas which was the comment on the previous outfit.

My family's traditional Christmas cake with a whole Santa Claus army. One was defeated by me, the battle will continue today and I have prepared in comfy clothes.

Sweat pants and sheep skin shoes will help me in the battle. Great outfit for eating.

Mad Style or Bad Style New Year's dress

Been way too busy lately and neglecting the blog. Good thing is that it wasn't all "bad" busy. For example I baked Swedish Lussekatter.

What's even better is I think I've found my New Year's dress. What do you think? Should I buy it?

Mad Style or Bad Style?

Tattoos and a Swedish fish

This Swedish fish was lucky enough to travel all the way from Sweden to Hungary with me. Not much of a company though.
Thanks dad for catching this fish with your tattooed arm!

Ring test

Ring from Indiska
When buying new clothes and jewelry you need to put them to the test making sure they don't become an obstacle in your life. With this ring I decided to do the kanelbulle test and I'm happy to announce that it passed! I had no problems whatsoever eating the kanelbulle with the ring on my finger.

( Kanelbulle is a Swedish cinnamon bun)

Money grows on trees

This is where I am now. Not in the gutter, but in Halmstad. Some people believe money grows on trees in Sweden and they might just be right.
Sister in action at the bar.
Don't drink and drive. I don't remember the last time I drove but I do remember when I drank.
Of course there is a moose in the bar. Can't go anywhere without bumping in to one.

( The bag in the tree was bought in Budapest and I put it in there myself )
