Found this good old red lamp at the flea market on Bajcsy Zsilinszky that I wrote about earlier on the blog. It's the last thing I bought for the flat, if you don't count toilet paper,and it was cheaper too.

LoveBug Vintage and fleas

Yesterday I did an attempt with Linda to sell off some of our old stuff at the flea market in Fogasház. Sales tip: avoid confusion by making sure people know what price range your in.  We decided for olcsó (cheap) because we love cheap.

Violetta Kertész from LoveBug Vintage was my favourite. With a silver turban how could she not be. Check out her online vintage shop and go nuts for all the cool stuff she's selling.

Stylish and nice

My friend Jenny who I hadn't seen for years was in Budapest. She's always super stylish and she's nice too. Sometimes I don't know what's more important. I guess stylish beats nice in the long run.

Feather crown at the Bazaar

Went to Bazaar on Saturday I saw this cuckoo or should I say cock-a-doodle-do band called Cold turkey. Vetlényi Zsolt a great painter wore an even greater feather crown

At the moment I wish I was a cat cuddling up in a nice warm place with nothing to worry about. Since the chances of me turning in to a cat are quite small it's probably better to just to get a cat hat and hope that will make things better.

A few days ago I visited the first Hungarian charity shop or the best depends on how you translate it. Let's just say it's the first and the best because I have no idea and that sounds impressive. Anyhow it's located on Üllői út not far from Kálvin tér.

A white belt for 150 Ft was totally worth the price.

Especially when seeing it was made of lama calf! Not that I know if that's good or bad.  Well bad for the lamas for sure.

Chanel SS 2012 vs Styleomad 2011

I was very surprised when I saw some of the pictures from Chanel's SS 2012 campaign as I did a similar shoot last summer

See the similarity? One thing that makes my pictures a little more exciting at least the last one, is the flasher on the bench in the second picture. (If you're in to that kind of stuff)   It's not a joke...

Ferike and Sándor

Old photographs is one of my weaknesses. This weekend at a flea market I found this picture.  The back says Ferike(?) and Sándor and they like to smoke or at least they think it's cool to smoke. Smoking being unhealthy and all that I don't want to encourage people to take photos like this. So please note they're actually not smoking, the cigarettes are not lit. I think for them it was only a party trick. Have to say they look pretty awesome anyway.

 Got myself a pair of glasses with what it seems built in X-ray function.

Black and pink, nice colours. They are very cool but I think I look a bit weird in them.

Maybe it's just the light.

There's a smoking ban in Hungary since 1 January, maybe soon my lungs will be strong enough to climb these stairs to the toilet. Oh wait, in many places they still let you smoke since they don't get a fine the first 3 months. The stairs can wait.

Swedish shopping

I went shopping with three Swedish girls who like old clothes maybe even more than I do. This wonderful blue leather coat on the wall at Szputnyik would have been one of those things I couldn't have resisted. Such a shame it's not for sale I really wanted to go for the army smurf style.

Did get my New Year's butterfly sequins top there, similar to the one in the picture.

Upstairs at the shop called Vintage on Práter utca. Tons of nice dresses and piles of clothes makes you feel like in Wonderland.

Lovely lady who works there and satisfied Swedes. 
Nowadays I consider myself lucky when not finding anything I have to to buy. In this shop I was lucky. Not in the previous one though where I "had" to buy something. All these musts are killing me.

Happy New Year!

New Year's Eve started with me stressing out because I thought I had to buy something. It's like a disease this shopping sometime, came home with a new nail polish. Definitely couldn't have done the party without it.  It was hard but I managed to resist getting a wig or stupid hat at Blaha.
