A woman's gotta do....

The long weekend is over. This picture is only an illustration, it was a very quiet one. This picture is from a few weeks ago and the beautiful nails belong to a Swede called Carin. I should paint my nails in fun colours soon, now you might wonder why I need to do that. Sometimes a woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do and it doesn't always have a meaning or make sense. Just like the day after a long weekend.

Men always ask why women always go together to the bathroom. The true answer is to get rid of them for a while, but also that it's for some reason a good place to take pictures. The pictures are in general not good though.

Big beautiful nose

I never looked for a  bag with a picture of a Toucan, that must be the reason I bought it. Most of the things I buy I had no idea I wanted until I found it. Usually in second hand shops.

Useful information about Toucans, you never know when you get a trick question.

This is a Keel-billed Toucan is a great example how a big nose can be beautiful, their nose is about one-third of their length. What I want to say is, don't hate your big nose, paint it in some nice colours and maybe it will make you as cute as a Toucan. If not, then I hope you didn't use a Sharpie.

 A Greek lunch on a terrace next to the Danube is not bad. The wind was pretty strong and for a second it felt like being by the Mediterranean Sea, having a bit of salt water sprinkle in my eyes. But then I realized the salt came from the man at the next table was salting his fish and the moment was gone.

I drowned my sorrows with Greek wine and looked at the river. Not too bad that either.

The fish, also longing for the sea, so I made a fake blue wave.

My new shoes getting used to the outside world. Even if they got a taste of the sky they didn't make me feel like I was walking on clouds, more like walking on broken glass.

Mad Style or Bad Style. White satin suit

White on white is all the rage this summer.
There are not many people that can pull off  a white satin suit though, especially matching with a white purse. I am quite sure that this outfit is not what the big designers were hoping to see on the streets. But who am I to say this. I want you to tell me what you think.

A while ago I told you about some old night gowns I got and was planning to wear as summer dresses. Now I finally wore one of them out, and at night of course. When else?

Your grandmother has the same dress? Well, she obviously can't bother getting dressed when you visit. Otherwise you wouldn't know, right

Sorry I haven't posted anything all weekend, but since I found this Elf shop it's been difficult taking my mind off of them. (Don't mind the scraping of the glass. The shop was closed when I saw it and my attempt of breaking the window was unsuccessful) Let's hope it's open today!

Cool people eat ice cream not to get too hot.

 Stripes and ice cream, can never go wrong. Except when you try a new flavour and it turns out it's not what you expected. That is very disappointing. I didn't ask what kind of ice cream Fanni was eating but she looked happy with it.

I like people watching and plan to post more interesting, fascinating or simply stylish people I see on the streets.

 

Hats and horses

Almost weekend again! That reminds me of the Kentucky Derby Cinco de Mayo party I went to last Saturday. Hats were required, horses and Mexicans preferred. The latter two were, to everyone's disappointment, a no-show.

Do you think it's necessary for a city to have a laundromat for mosómedve (wash bear/ raccoon) do its own laundry? Free hanging on the side of the building is a plus for those in doubt.

Look at the shape of my body in this dress. Pretty amazing if I can say so. My whole life my hips have been wider than my chest.

Hilton shabby chic

Hilton Budapest's new interior is shabby chic. A bit late to pick up on the trend some would say but it's okay.

I do give them credits for the new concept, shabby chic lunch. I choose an interesting combo of rose wine and lentil stew.

Actually this was at MŰSZI at Corvin, really cool place. You should go if you have the opportunity.

Absolootely

Since it's May 1st which is workers day in most European countries. I love to celebrate my work with a day off, they don't come often enough though. Work should be fun and if it's not a little nice hand made book to take notes in can always cheer you up a little bit. These are from the Hungarian brand Absoloot.

If a a nice book isn't enough it can be used mixed with some stronger company  to get that cheering up effect but the effect on work can't be guaranteed.
